The Decorative Impulse

The Decorative Impulse is an exhibition dreamed up and curated by Yevgeniya Kaganovich, metalsmith and head of the jewelry and metalsmithing program at UW-Milwaukee, and Martha Monroe, curator of exhibitions at the Villa Terrace and Charles Allis Decorative Arts Museums.

The show is wonderfully integrated into the setting of the beautiful early 20th century Italian Renaissance style Villa Terrace that overlooks Lake Michigan. If you happen to be in Milwaukee, check it out. (While you are there you can got to the Milwaukee Art Museum to see the wonderful exhibit "The Tool At Hand".)

The exhibition opened February 17th and will up be up through May 20th and is worth going just to see the villa and the awesome view.

It includes the work of Anya Kivarkis, Gesine Hackenburg, Rory Hooper, Jonathan Wahl, and Jamie Bennett, and myself.
